Who loves a great hamburger?! I know I do. So in this case, it is so great to have a recipe you can whip up anytime you crave one. This hamburger has a surprise. It is stuffed with cheese and your guests won’t know it before they take a big bite of the delicious homemade burger. You can fill it with any cheese you like or just have cheese on top of it, if you don’t like surprises.
Serves 2-4 (depending how hungry you are 😉 )
500 g minced meat
1/8 cup(30 ml) barbecue sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 hamburger buns
Toppings of choice: tomatoes, lettuce, onions, caramelized onions etc.
Mix the minced meat, the garlic, the Worcestershire and barbecue sauce together in a bowl.
Form 4 burgers and cover with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Add cheese to the center and then fold over the outside of the meat so the cheese is covered.
Cook on a skillet on both sides until done.
Assemble the burger with the toppings of your choice. I added ketchup, caramelized onions, tomatoes and lettuce. Serve and enjoy!!!
