When you have a fiancé that goes to the gym often and needs a lot of energy, I have to make something to give him the energy to go shopping with me…my cardio hahaha just kidding. These energy bars are made up of equal amounts of the three ingredients and takes no time to make. Store them in an airtight container up to several weeks.


200 ml dates

200 ml almonds

200 ml raisins

How to:

Simply add the ingredients to a food processor and cut them up until you get a smooth paste. Don’t worry if it seems that the almonds don’t get chopped up as much, be patient it just takes a couple of minutes.

Take some cling film and lay it our on your table. Add the paste on to it and then cover it with more plastic wrap. This is a clean way to do it, otherwise it will just stick to your rolling pin. Roll it out to the thickness of your choice and cut it up into serving sizes. Refrigerate up to several weeks in an air tight container.
