No lies these are the best chocolate chip cookies ever, however if you are into crunchy, harder cookies these will not be the ones for you. Since summer is coming to an end, I wanted to share with you this recipe that you can make during the colder days to come. These cookies are definitely not healthy so be aware. I’ve tried so many recipes for cookies but none of them have been that good that they were worth a mention, until this one. My mouth is salivating just thinking about them. So, let me just get to it.

170 g butter, softened

180ml brown sugar (3/4 cup)

60 ml sugar (1/4 cup)

1 egg

2 teaspoons vanilla paste/extract

470ml/2 cups flour

2 teaspoons corn starch

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

250 ml chocolate chip cookies (1cup)

How to:

Cream the butter, add the sugar and mix well.

Add the egg and the vanilla and mix again.

Add the flour, corn starch, baking soda and salt. Once incorporated add the chocolate chips and wrap in plastic and let cool for at least 30 minutes before baking.

Divide the dough into balls. Not too small nor too big. About a tablespoon or two. Let them bake until golden brown. Let them sit for 5 minutes before you transfer them to a cooling rack. 180°C for 8-10 minutes. If you want them slightly more crunchy leave them for a couple of minutes extra. These are meant to be soft and chewy.

Serve with a cold glass of milk and enjoy.
